The 980+1470nm diode laser offers a wavelength with superior performance for ablation of diseased veins - 1470 nm.The EVLT is effective, safe, quick and painless. This technique is lighter than the traditional surgery:
Optimal Laser 1470nm
Laser wavelength 1470 is, at least, 40 times better absorbed by water and oxyhemoglobin than 980nm laser, allowing selective
destruction of the vein, with less energy and reducing side effects.
As a water-specific laser, the TR1470nm laser targets water as the chromophore to absorb the laser energy. Since the vein
structure is mostly water, it is theorized that the 1470 nm laser wavelength efficiently heats endothelial cells with a low risk
of collateral damage, resulting in an optimal vein ablation.
Why 360 Radial Fiber ?
Radial fiber that emits at 360° affords the ideal endovenous thermal ablation. It is therefore possible to gently and evenly
introduce the laser energy into the lumen of the vein and ensure the closure of the vein based on photothermal destruction (at
temperatures between 100 and 120°C).

For the treatment:
You’ll lie down on a hospital bed.
An imaging method, such as ultrasound, is used to guide the procedure.
The leg to be treated is injected with numbing medicine. Once your leg is numb, a needle makes a small hole (puncture) in the vein to be treated.
The catheter containing the laser heat source is inserted into your vein.
More numbing medicine may be injected around the vein. Once the catheter is in the right position, it's then slowly drawn backward.
As the catheter sends out heat, the vein is closed off.
In some cases, other side branch varicose veins may be removed or tied off through several small cuts (incisions).
When the treatment is done, the catheter is removed.
Pressure is applied to the insertion site to stop any bleeding.
An elastic compression stocking or a bandage may then be put on your leg.
The treatment takes 45 to 60 minutes, you can go home the same day.
